VLN Endurance Championship

The VLN endurance championship Nürburgring will once again be all about grassroots racing. A colourful mix of participants with almost 160 cars on the average, from production-based competition touring cars to the more than 500 HP strong GT3 race cars, will tackle the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife. Ambitious amateur drivers will then fight against experienced professional race drivers over the four hour race distance.
VLN is a 10-round series that takes place on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, widely considered as the most gruelling and demanding race track in the world. The opening rounds are used by the leading GT3 teams and manufacturers as they prepare for Nürburgring 24 Hours, the most gruelling race on the global GT calendar.
The long-distance championship will continue to focus upon its unique fan-friendly atmosphere. The entrance is free all around the Nordschleife. Only those who want to follow the race action from the grandstands around the Grand Prix circuit and to visit the paddocks will have to pay the family-friendly fee of 15 euro per person. Children under 14 years have free entrance. The value received is significant as the entrance fee includes both admission to the pit lane during the pit-walk between practice and race as well as to the starting grid.
The grid positions will be determined in the timed practice between 08:30hrs and 10:00hrs and the race start will be given at 12 o’clock.
